Covid update for wakes and memorial services
The difficult task of planning a funeral of a loved one is even more distressing during the current Covid restrictions. The latest rules published on the 6th January state that funeral ceremonies must have no more than 30 people attending, whether indoors or outdoors. This only relates to the funeral itself and not the wake. No more than 6 people can attend stone setting ceremonies, the scattering of ashes or a wake.
Forever Green has hosted a great deal of wakes over the years and we understand the importance holding a wake means to families and friends. They are a time of reflection, celebration and often laughter mixed with tears.
Once the review of restrictions allows us to help you organise a wake we will update both our website and Facebook page.
We are receiving a number of requests from families wanting to arrange a memorial tea to mark the anniversary of a loved one. Over the coming months restrictions will ease to allow people to gather together and so if you would like to provisionally hold a date please contact Julie Rushby our events manager on firstname.lastname@example.org
Forever Green, nestled in the middle of this unique woodland is the prefect tranquil setting at which to host a Remembrance Tea to celebrate the life of those recently lost.
The Forest Suite upstairs is exclusively available for up to 100 guests. Offering views of the surrounding forest you can provide a light afternoon tea with a private bar for close family and friends wishing to join you after the service.
For smaller gatherings requiring disabled access we have The Glades on the ground floor for up to 30 people or as a private dining experience for up to 20.
Our venue is available to hire at weekends should you want to plan a more lavish farewell celebration.
